GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Carl Albert State College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Wrestling Coach at the Poteau campus. This position shares the responsibility of teaching the skills, fundamentals, and principles of the specific sport to both men’s and women’s teams. Teaching responsibilities include instruction of physical health, team concepts, and safety. Mentored by the head coaches, he/she will plan, organize, coordinate, implement, and recruit the assigned athletic activity; also drive and/or supervise team members during away games. He/she will be accountable for a share of the Mick Thompson duties including camps, concessions/gate, tournaments, NJCAA match days, wrestling equipment, mats, and uniforms (including laundry). Assistant coaches are preferred to live on campus (room, utilities and meal card provided) to allow for monitoring student athletes, room checks, discipline and reporting team discipline, when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous coaching experience at the college level preferred and high school experience required
- Must demonstrate a dedication to the teaching function and show professional competence and enthusiasm in the performance of all responsibilities
- Oklahoma CDL with bus endorsement preferred; if not, will be required to acquire within first 90 days
- Preferred experience with both Men’s & Women’s Wrestling

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Physical Science or a Master’s Degree with 18 credit hours of Chemistry. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; computer skills to support teaching and learning. Prefer teaching experience with commitment to working with diverse populations.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in community college teaching and assessment, as well as to candidates with an awareness of current trends in their fields.
EXPECTATIONS OF FACULTY: The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear aptitude for teaching. Successful candidate is required to teach traditional lecture, on-line and dual credit courses. Assignments may include day and/or evening sections. In addition to teaching, full-time faculty members follow departmental syllabi; collaborate with colleagues in the selection of textbooks, software, and other instructional material; maintain students’ records; submit official records and reports as required; and maintain required office hours. A faculty member will plan to engage in such activities as: student advising, course evaluation, classroom preparation, the evaluation of student performance, committee assignments, and perform other assigned divisional and college duties.

The Division of Health Sciences at Carl Albert State College seeks a dedicated and committed colleague to teach courses in Introduction to Physical Therapy, Applied Anatomy, Kinesiology, Biophysical and Mechanical Agents of Physical Therapy. The successful candidate will be required to develop and coordinate corporate and individual academic preparedness for program students through the Program Study Hall. This will require cooperative efforts with the program faculty and communication to the Program Director. The successful candidate will be the Clinic Supervisor for the Pro Bono Clinic. This will require providing physical therapy evaluations and assessments, student supervision, and administrative duties over student-patient safety, clinical skills, and documentation. License requirements will require continuing education and professional development, as well as license fees. This position is a full-time, 10-month, contracted position for the Poteau campus. Carl Albert State College, in collaboration with Northeastern State University, is seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant position within the Office of Student Life. This is a two-year appointment designed for individuals pursuing graduate studies at NSU while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of Student Life at Carl Albert State College.
Responsibilities:
The Graduate Assistant will support the Vice President of Student Life as well as the Housing and Student Activities coordinators in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
- Providing administrative support to the Student Life office, including daily operations, office management, and communication.
- Gather data and evaluate the effectiveness of student life programs and services.
- Assisting with the planning, executing, and promoting of Student Life events and activities.
- Assist with Residential Housing programs and needs.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Life and/or Housing and Student Activities coordinators.
Compensation: (20-hour work week)
- Full tuition waiver for graduate studies at Northeastern State University
- Semester stipend ($3,000.00 per semester)

The campus police are responsible for patrolling and securing the CASC campus, enforcing laws and ordinances as well as the CASC Policies and Procedures on both campuses.
