POSITION:
Nursing Instructor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Division of Nursing Education at Carl Albert State College seeks a dedicated and committed colleague to instruct nursing students in the classroom and campus laboratory at the Poteau campus. Supervise and evaluate students in clinical experiences for the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program (RN).  Serve as academic advisor and faculty committee member. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing curriculum.   Travel required between Poteau and Sallisaw campuses and clinical sites.  This position is a full-time 10-month position (with full benefit package offered). 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of two (2) years full-time equivalent practice in a clinical setting;
• A Master’s degree in nursing preferred; Minimum BSN who is willing to pursue a MSN
• Hold a valid license to practice as an RN in the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas (or ability to obtain), or eNLC multistate nursing license
• Preferred Qualifications include: Teaching at the Associate Degree level of Nursing Education; Acute care clinical expertise in medical, surgical, ICU, and management; bi-lingual.

Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, squatting/kneeling, reaching upward and outward, and handling of papers and equipment. Close, color, and distance vision required. Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds.
Work Environment: Minimal exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; exposure to fumes or airborne particles and moderate noise.

SALARY:

$ 65,000-MSN includes a full benefit package, which includes Employer paid Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability, Oklahoma Teachers Retirement and Paid Sick Days.
