GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Carl Albert State College is accepting applications for a Support Team Member, this is a full time 12-month position located on the Poteau Campus. This position will assist CASC’s Support Team Coordinator to pilot new Support Team system services in targeted Virtual Campus courses. This position is responsible for but not limited to: Assisting Support Team Coordinator in customizing and piloting the new Support Team system for virtual campus students in targeted academic areas: General Education, Child Development, Business Administration, and Criminal Justice. Providing academic coaching, advising to caseloads of students in targeted courses/programs. Identifying low-performing students in targeted courses/programs and facilitating students’ connections to support resources/services. Connecting caseload students to resources such as financial aid assistance, counseling, career services. Assisting with data collection to support evaluation of the new system.  Will travel between the Poteau and Sallisaw campus in a college provided vehicle approximately two days a week as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Advising, Counseling, or related field required; Master’s preferred. Minimum two years’ experience in student services, advising, and/or counseling, required; postsecondary experience preferred. Excellent technology skills required; experience with data-informed practices, Blackboard LMS, Zoom videoconferencing, preferred Demonstrated ability to work on a team, required. Excellent communication skills, required. Strong organizational skills, required. Experience in addressing the needs of Native American, low income, and traditionally-underserved students, preferred.

SALARY:

$38,000 annually. Full Benefit Package that includes: Employer paid Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability and Oklahoma Teachers Retirement. All 12-month employees get paid days off holidays, sick leave, vacation days, etc.
