POSITION:
Recruiting/Admissions Counselor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Carl Albert State College is accepting applications for a Recruiting/Admissions Counselor.  This is a full-time position, based at the Poteau campus. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Communicate with prospective students, their families and the community through appointment, telephone, email and other electronic means
• Attend college fairs, high school visits and community agencies to represent CASC; explain the benefits of a college education and recruit new students
• Assist with the planning and implementation of recruitment events
• Oversee the Scholastic Contest
• Provide campus tours
• Assist with all aspects of the admissions process for incoming students
• Assist in the management of the CRM database

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred; must be attentive to detail; possess good organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in public speaking; ability to work independently; good interpersonal skills; strong computer and word processing skills; experience in promotion, sales, and marketing preferred. Should you be chosen to be interviewed, you will be required to do a 4 to 5-minute presentation on a topic of your choice accompanied by a PowerPoint.

SALARY:

Associates Degree $25,000 annually; Bachelor’s Degree $33,000 annually; a full benefit package is included, which includes Employer paid Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability, Oklahoma Teachers Retirement, Vacation & Sick Days.
