Graduate Assistant – Athletic Administrative Assistant
Location: Carl Albert State College/Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK
Position Type: 2-Year Graduate Assistantship

Carl Albert State college in collaboration with Northeastern State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Graduate Assistant position within the Athletic Program. This is a two-year appointment designed for individuals pursuing graduate studies at NSU while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of a collegiate athletic program at Carl Albert State College.

Responsibilities:

The Graduate Assistant will support the athletic department staff in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

• Coordinate and manage game day operations, including event setup, staff coordination,

gate money, and post-event breakdown

• Support marketing and social media initiatives
• Assist with fundraising initiatives and donor engagement efforts
• Support the recruitment process for prospective student athletes
• Performing other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics
• Maintaining compliance with NJCAA and institutional policies and procedures

Compensation: (20 hour work week)

• Full tuition waiver for graduate studies at Northeastern State University
• Semester stipend ($3,000.00 per semester)
• On-campus room and board at Carl Albert State College (Housing availability is limited; family and married housing is not available. Couples accepted into the GA program may share accommodations.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Admission into a graduate program at Northeastern State University by August 2025
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
