POSITION:
Enrollment / Advisement Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Carl Albert State College has an opening for an Enrollment/Advisement Specialist. This is a full-time, 12-month position at the Poteau campus. This position is responsible for assisting in advisement, enrollment and retention processes of students in order to maximize the enrollment/graduation potential.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Serve as an Academic Advisor for all majors
Maintain records for advisees and monitor their student records
Work directly with Financial Aid, Business Office, Admissions and Academic Affairs
Assist in organizing and managing Enrollment/Advisement activities
Teach one Freshman Orientation section during the fall semester

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s preferred. Must be able to organize and maintain accurate student records. Working knowledge of higher education, advising and enrollment processes preferred. Working knowledge of MS Office software. Must possess the ability to work with a diverse population. Excellent written and oral communication skills needed.

SALARY:
$25,000 Associates degree, $ 33,000 Bachelor’s degree includes a full benefit package. Benefit package includes: Employer paid Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability and Oklahoma Teachers Retirement.
