TAYMEN VOCQUE REPRESENTS CARL ALBERT STATE COLLEGE AT THE PRESTIGIOUS GEORGE AND DONNA NIGH LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Carl Albert State College is proud to announce that Taymen Vocque, a Sophomore Scholars Program student from LeFlore, Oklahoma, represented the institution at the esteemed George and Donna Nigh Leadership Academy from Saturday, February 1st, to Tuesday, February 4th.

Each year, institutions across Oklahoma nominate one student to attend this exclusive leadership academy, which provides a select group of students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in networking with state leaders, and gain valuable insight into public service and governance. Participants also receive a scholarship for their involvement in the program.

Vocque, a graduate of LeFlore High School, is currently pursuing a Business Administration degree. His selection for this prestigious academy is a testament to his academic achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to making a positive impact.

“We are incredibly proud of Taymen and his dedication to leadership and service,” said Dr. Jay Falkner, CASC President. “His participation in the George and Donna Nigh Leadership Academy not only reflects his outstanding qualities but also highlights our institution’s commitment to fostering future leaders.”

Founded by former Oklahoma Governor George Nigh and First Lady Donna Nigh, the George and Donna Nigh Leadership Academy is designed to inspire and empower young leaders by providing them with an immersive experience in government, public service, and leadership development. Through workshops, guest speakers, and hands-on learning opportunities, students gain a deeper understanding of civic responsibility and the impact they can have in their communities.
