1. Knowledge of Human Anatomy and Physiology

  • Familiarity with the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and nervous systems as they relate to sports and physical activities.

2. Injury Prevention Techniques

  • Knowledge of preventive measures to reduce the risk of injury during physical activities and sports.
  • Ability to apply protective gear, braces, and tape effectively.

3. Basic First Aid and Emergency Response

  • Proficiency in administering CPR, AED, and other first-aid techniques.
  • Ability to handle emergencies, such as fractures, sprains, strains, and other common sports-related injuries.

4. Rehabilitation and Recovery Techniques

  • Skills in designing and implementing rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
  • Understanding therapeutic exercises, stretching, and other recovery methods to aid in healing.

5. Physical Conditioning and Training Principles

  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques to enhance athletic performance.
