The Mission of the Carl Albert State College (CASC) Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Nursing program is to facilitate affordable, accessible, exceptional education to guide students in their preparation to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to diverse clients in entry level practice as a registered nurse. The program accomplishes this by helping students acquire client assessment and clinical judgement skills through participation in theory, clinical, and simulation experiences. The students are introduced to communication, management, and technological skills important in nursing practice. Students are encouraged to embrace the value of lifelong learning in preparation to provide health care to the communities where they practice.
Graduates of our program can pursue careers in medicine including; Hospitals, Nursing Facilities, Home Health Companies, Clinics, Private Care, and Schools.
