THREE FROM CASC ATTEND STATE OAEA OUTREACH TO TEACH AND SPRING CONFERENCE

On March 3rd and 4th, representatives from Carl Albert State College attended the State OAEA Outreach to Teach and Spring Conference.  Attending were Susan Hill, Faculty Advisor, and students Rae Kardokus and Eunice Quiroz.  They spent the Friday of their trip at Coolidge Elementary School in Enid, working with other education majors to provide a make-over for the school. This included painting encouraging words in the bathrooms.

On Saturday, they attended the OAEA Spring Conference at NWOSU in Enid, participating in education-related workshops and activities.

The Oklahoma Aspiring Educators Association (OAEA), formerly known as the Student Oklahoma Education Association (SOEA), is a pre-professional organization of undergraduate and graduate students currently preparing for careers in education. As a member of OAEA, students are affiliated with the larger Oklahoma Education Association, a professional educational association representing nearly 35,000 members in the state. OAEA members are also part of the National Education Association – the largest education association in the nation and a major force in shaping the nation’s education agenda, with over 3.2 million members representing every state in the nation (okea.org).
