POTEAU, OKLA. – Carl Albert State College hosted Oklahoma State System of Higher Education Chancellor Sean Burrage on Tuesday, Oct. 13, for a campus visit focused on students, higher education, and the continued role CASC plays in serving eastern Oklahoma.
During his visit, Chancellor Burrage spent time with members of the CASC Scholars Program, engaging with students and sharing insight on leadership, perseverance, service, and the opportunities available through higher education.
Burrage also joined CASC President Dr. Jay Falkner, college administrators, local leaders, and community partners for a luncheon and conversation about the College’s continued growth and efforts to meet the changing needs of students and the region. Discussions included workforce development, flexible and online learning opportunities, student success, and CASC’s commitment to keeping higher education within reach for students throughout eastern Oklahoma.
“We appreciate Chancellor Burrage taking the time to visit our campus, spend time with our students, and hear directly from the people we serve,” said Falkner. “His leadership and support of higher education across Oklahoma are important to institutions like Carl Albert. Opportunities like this allow us to share the great things happening here while also having meaningful conversations about how we can continue creating opportunities for our students and strengthening our communities.”
The visit provided an opportunity for CASC to highlight the students, programs, partnerships, and initiatives that are helping the College respond to regional education and workforce needs.
