POSITION:
ARC/Bookstore & Library Asst. – Sallisaw Campus


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Academic Resource Center (ARC) and Bookstore/Library Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting student success by managing daily operations, ensuring service excellence, and supporting the governance of academic support services. This position allocates approximately 50% of responsibilities to overseeing ARC operations and 50% to coordinating library and bookstore support functions. Flexibility is required during high-demand periods, and the Assistant is expected to take initiative in ensuring effective delivery of all services. This role includes direct support to the Bookstore Supervisor and assumes leadership duties in their absence.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage daily operations of the ARC, ensuring a productive, student-centered environment
  • Proctors Accuplacer (placement) Exams
  • Proctors Residual ACT Exams
  • Perform data management, including accurate entry and reporting of testing scores
  • Provide oversight of the tutoring program, including scheduling, tutor coordination, and guiding students to appropriate academic support
  • Monitor ARC utilization and generate activity reports for program assessment and improvement
  • Serve as primary ARC contact in the absence of the ARC Specialist, acting as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff regarding ARC-related matters
  • Oversee the daily operations of the library and assist in the coordination of bookstore services, ensuring optimal organization and accessibility of resources
  • Support inventory management and assist with ordering, receiving, and shelving of academic materials and bookstore stock
  • Assist with textbook returns, inventory reconciliation and reporting as directed by the Bookstore Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree required; Excellent computer, oral and written skills; Strong Interpersonal skills; Proven ability to work independently & collaboratively in a service-oriented team; Organizational skills, with attention to detail.

SALARY:  $ 25,000 annually with a full Benefit Package.  Benefit package includes Employer Paid Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability, Oklahoma Teachers Retirement and a generous paid Leave & Holiday package.
