POSITION:
Head Cook
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Carl Albert State College is accepting applications for full time Head Cook for the Poteau campus. This position is responsible for all aspects of cooking meals for a large student population, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch for Café 1507
- Stay current with child Nutrition guidelines to comply with the Childcare area
- Assist with Special Events and Catering
- Provide excellent customer service
- Will work Saturday’s on a rotating basis
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge or ability to learn standard cleaning methods and equipment used in a commercial kitchen workplace
- Experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift and push/pull at least 50 lbs.; able to bend, walk, stand, reach, and kneel
SALARY:
$ 30,000 – 35,000 annually, based on experience. A full benefit package is included, which includes Employer paid Medical, Dental, Life, Long-term Disability and Oklahoma Teachers Retirement. Along with the Benefit package you will also receive 15 Sick days per year; 10 Vacation days per year; 3 Convenience days per year; various Holiday and School Closures for a combined total of 14 weeks of paid time off for non-faculty employees.
