Voter Registration Drive at Carl Albert State College

The Carl Albert State College campuses in Poteau and Sallisaw are conducting Voter Registration Drives the week of September 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

According to Leah McLaughlin, CASC Vice President of Student Affairs, this is an Oklahoma Campus Compact Voter Registration contest.  Registered voters will be counted as college/university students who have fully completed a voter registration card and submitted it to the Student Affairs Office on the Poteau campus or Jaime Henson’s office on the Sallisaw campus by 4 pm on Friday, September 20. First time registration, change of voting precinct, or change of party affiliation will count. The winning CASC campus will be selected based on the number of student voters registered. In addition, CASC will be compared to other colleges and the Oklahoma Campus Compact will select a statewide winning campus based on the percentage of student voters registered in comparison to total campus enrollment.
