Lindsey Michelle Woody – Student Success at Carl Albert State College
As a 2014 Carl Albert State College graduate with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, Lindsey Michelle Woody is ready to put her degree to work.
The daughter of David and Kathy Woody, Lindsey graduated from Central High in Sallisaw prior to becoming a student a Carl Albert and is now ready to begin the next steps in her education/career plan. “I plan to work as a Registered Nurse at Sparks Regional Medical Center in the ICU Critical Care Unit. At the same time I want to continue my education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK in their online RN to BSN Program. Eventually I would like to get my Masters of Science in Nursing, and Doctorate of Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner.”
Lindsey is quick to point out how impressed she is with the quality of Carl Albert as a whole, and especially the nursing program. “I would encourage everyone to attend Carl Albert State College. It has allowed me to get a great education without having to travel or live away from home, which was a very important factor for me personally. The numerous scholarship opportunities that are available are also a great advantage to attending Carl Albert. The instructors and staff have been helpful and encouraging.”
She continued, “I have learned so much and I feel very prepared to pass my NCLEX-RN test. The nursing program is very challenging, and completing is a major accomplishment. I am convinced that Carl Albert State College is one of the best higher education options available, and I’m proud to be a Carl Albert graduate.”
