Carl Albert State College Students Support H.U.G.S. Project

The Carl Albert State College Student Government Association (SGA) and the College’s Office of Student Affairs recently collected items to donate to the Hats, Underwear, Gloves and Socks (H.U.G.S.) drive. H.U.G.S. was implemented by 4-H member Adrianna Curnutt in conjunction with Leslie Covey, Public Information Officer from Leflore County Health Department to help children of Leflore County.

Curnett is a junior at Wister Schools, and explained that this year the National Honor Society at Wister really helped make the project a success. Curnett went on to say that in addition to items donated, she received $700 in cash donations to purchase needed items for the drive. CASC President Garry M. Ivey and Curnett are pictured with a stack of donated items collected at the College for the H.U.G.S. project.
